September and October saw SLO Daybreakers hard at work with the following:
The kickoff and recruitment for the Interact Club at San Luis Obispo High School, now with 30+ members and launching their first service project - a clothing drive
Our Drive Thru BBQ fundraiser which netted nearly $6,000
Our commitment to the District to sponsor four students to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) next spring and applications distributed to students; interviews and selections in November
The formation of our Teacher Grant Committee; awards to be presented in December
Evening Socials at There Does Not Exist and Laguna Grill
The District 5240 Conference in Ventura
November is Rotary Foundation Month. We can be proud that all of your individual contributions as a member to the RI Foundation do good internationally, every day. For more information, click here.
