Every other week, a club Rotarian provides a "Rotary Moment" at our meeting, to deepen understanding of Rotary and its impact around the world. Honorary Member Nancy Beighley recently shared her passion for the water, sanitation, and hygiene projects that make a difference in the lives of others around the world. She reflected on a 2003 international service trip to Malawi, Africa, (where she traveled with Charter Members Doug Shaw and Linda Wilson) to build two wells. Access to clean water provided a much healthier alternative and prevented families - in particular women and girls - from having to travel distances to get and carry water, taking them away from their other family activities and education. Nancy shared this minute and a half video, take a look.
